National Carousel on the Mall

After spending time at the Air and Space Museum, the girls wanted to fly on the National Carousel on the Mall! The weather was still fantastic and we were having the best time ever! As you can tell by the girls' expressions...this was a trip of a life time! And it was just getting better and better!

Air and Space Museum!

When I asked Sara if she wanted to see the real famous ruby slippers, her comment was..."Nope, mine are the ones that are famous!" So needless to say we saw the famous ruby slippers all over DC on our trip!

Sometimes the best pictures are those in the gift shop. Here the girls are saluting their cousin John who just left for boot camp for the Air Force! "We salute you John!"

Sara and Emily show off their strength while holding up the nose of a real life plane!

Amelia Earhart's plane! The one thing the girls were most excited about at the Air and Space Museum!

Coming in for a landing!

National Museum of Natural History

Sara and Emily had a fantastic time posing for the camera at the National Museum of Natural History! Elephants, Dinosaurs, Sharks...oh my! We could have stayed their all day, but did not want to be there when everything came to life!

Vietnam Wall and Washington Monument

Sara and Emily being their own Washington Monuments on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial... then the girls ran all the way down the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial to get a picture with their buddy Andres! Such a polite sweet young man with a great sense of humor! The girls are proud to be able to call him a friend. And then we had a chance to pose for a family photo before heading to the Vietnam Wall.

Bus Tour...Day 2

During the bus tour, we were able to see all the sites and stop to take some great photos. Sara and Emily met Rachel and Madison from Nebraska and became great friends! We stopped at the Jefferson Memorial, the Reflecting Pool and the Lincoln Memorial. Clayton from Maine joined the girls in their infamous silly face pose. Tom from Worcester - our bus leader - brought a little Massachusetts flair to our trip! Orange Bus Rocks! Oh and the weather was perfect...not too hot not too cold! Could not have asked for a better trip!

Miss America and Mark Wills Sing!

Emily and Sara were so excited to hear Miss America sing and to hear Mark Wills' song "Don't Laugh at Me". And of course the girls were so happy to see their names on the big screen! Go Sara and Emily!
